FREE World Update 23 & Naples Airport! | New MSFS Marketplace Scenery

If you're looking to take your virtual flights off the beaten path or explore detailed hand-crafted VFR environments, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Marketplace just rolled out an enormous drop of new global scenery, handcrafted airfields, and visual overhauls! Headlining this week is the completely free official release of World Update 23: Poland and the Baltics, arriving alongside commercial airline gateways across Europe, South America, and Asia, historic UK grass strips, and custom American city skylines.

In this marketplace breakdown, we inspect all the airfield modeling, apron wear-and-tear, regional authenticity, and platform features to help you decide what's claiming top priority on your virtual SSD:

🇵🇱 FREE WORLD UPDATE 23: POLAND & THE BALTICS (MICROSOFT) We kick off with Microsoft's official regional expansion across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. Completely free in the Marketplace, this package delivers updated aerial photogrammetry across cities like Warsaw, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Kaunas, and Gdańsk, supported by 77 custom Points of Interest (historic castles, cathedrals, and bridges), five handcrafted regional airports, four landing challenges, and scenic discovery flights

✈️ COMMERCIAL GATEWAYS & AIRLINE HUBS (NAPLES, ROSARIO & HUANGYAN) We inspect three dedicated international passenger destinations for airline line pilots:

• Naples International Airport (LIRN): Created by South Oak Co. & SimPixel, Southern Italy’s iconic gateway features challenging urban terrain approaches, custom terminal interiors, detailed ground equipment, full GSX profile compatibility, and day/night apron illumination. • Rosario Islas Malvinas Airport (SAAR): Positioned along the Paraná River in Santa Fe, Argentina, featuring updated terminal architecture, custom animated jetways, and apron ground clutter. • Huangyan Luqiao Airport (ZWTN): Developed by MSF Scenery Builders, showcasing the historic Chinese military-to-civilian dual-use hub with custom hangars, apron resurfacing, and perimeter surroundings.

🛩️ GENERAL AVIATION & HISTORIC STRIPS (LEICESTER & LORAIN COUNTY) We head into countryside training and corporate ramp flying:

• Leicester Airport (EGBG): Set in the Leicestershire countryside at the former RAF Stoughton, this detailed grass and paved field features 140 custom 3D assets, modeled hangar interiors with spawnable parking, animated hangar doors, and the neighboring Stretton karting circuit. • Lorain County Regional Airport (KLPR): UK2000 Scenery’s rendition of this northern Ohio corporate hub west of Cleveland, complete with transparent terminal glass, hangar bays, LifeFlight emergency base facilities, and custom ground markings (requires the free UK2000 common library).

🏙️ MIDWEST SKYLINES & VEGETATION OVERHAULS (SAMSCENE3D & DREAMSCENERY) We tour custom visual city packs by SamScene3D covering downtown skylines, prominent skyscrapers, and illuminated bridges across Indianapolis, Denver, and Minneapolis—giving VFR pilots realistic horizons. Plus, we examine DreamScenery’s targeted regional tree fixes designed to clean up photogrammetry foliage anomalies across Düsseldorf, Las Vegas, Reno, Tucson, and Madison.
