New In-Sim ground services tool + scenic German Airfield (MSFS Marketplace)

If you're looking to expand your local European cross-countries or streamline your ramp operations at the gate, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Marketplace just updated with an intriguing pair of arrivals. Whether you're hand-flying low visual circuits over the rolling hills of Western Germany or looking for a simplified way to orchestrate airliner turnarounds, this week's drop offers focused additions for both GA flyers and commercial ramp crews!

In this marketplace breakdown, we inspect all the latest airfield modeling details, hangar facilities, and in-sim ramp management tools to help you decide what's claiming top priority on your virtual SSD:

🛩️ GRASSROOTS GERMAN AVIATION: DIERDORF-WIENAU (EDRW) We head out to the lush countryside of the Westerwald region between Cologne and Frankfurt am Main to explore Flugplatz Dierdorf-Wienau (EDRW). Created by scenery developer Spinoza, this charming field caters to both powered VFR aircraft and glider operations. We examine its custom PBR textures with authentic roof weathering, rooftop solar panel arrays, open hangar facilities with potential interior spawn capability, static parked aircraft, detailed 3D club spectator models, and the local clubhouse, cafe, and sleeping quarters.

🚜 IN-SIM RAMP MANAGEMENT: GROUND SERVICES 2020 (SALVO CORPORATION) Looking to cut down on tedious default ATC menu clicks during your gate turnarounds? We take a look at Salvo Corporation’s Ground Services 2020 utility. Integrated directly into the in-simulator toolbar panel, this add-on gives simmers quick one-click control over essential airport ground equipment—including pushback operations, jetway connections, passenger stairs, external ground power (GPU), baggage handling, and fuel service requests, complete with real-time equipment status readouts.

Which of these additions fits your current flight schedule? Setting up visual circuits over the Westerwald at Dierdorf-Wienau, or tidying up your ramp workflow with the new ground service interface? Let us know in the comments below!
