MSFS 2024 Marketplace: FREE airport alert, challenging Vágar & lconic Skiathos!

If you're looking to challenge your approach skills and expand your route network, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace just updated with a fantastic slate of new airfield arrivals. Whether you're wrestling turbulent North Atlantic crosswinds in the rugged Faroe Islands, skimming low over sunbathers on the famous Greek beaches of Skiathos, or snagging a surprise $0 free regional hub in the United States, this week's drop offers outstanding variety for airliner captains, corporate pilots, and regional flyers alike!

In this scenery breakdown, we inspect the latest airfield arrivals, 3D modeling details, and terminal features across Europe and the US to help you decide what's claiming top priority on your virtual SSD:

🌊 SCENIC EUROPEAN ISLAND & COASTAL GATEWAYS We kick off in the North Atlantic with Vágar Airport (EKVG) by MK Studios. Serving as the sole aerial gateway to the Faroe Islands, this release brings up-to-date layouts, detailed terminal architecture, runway elevation profiling, and custom ground textures—perfect for challenging A319, A320, 737, and BAe 146 approaches through gusty mountain fjords. Next, we head south to the Mediterranean for Skiathos International Airport (LGSK), world-renowned for its hair-raising, low-altitude beach approaches. We examine its custom buildings, landside apron details, service vehicle assets, and rental options.

✈️ US REGIONAL COMMERCIAL & EXECUTIVE HUBS Transitioning stateside, we highlight a surprise discovery: Manhattan Regional Airport (KMHK) in Kansas, currently listed for $0 in the Marketplace—so make sure to claim this regional commercial hub before the price changes! We also inspect Golden Triangle Regional Airport (KGTR) by MSF Rebuilders in Mississippi, followed by historic Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (KFCH) in California, featuring heritage World War I architecture, vintage hangar details, and custom apron environments.

Which of these new airfields are you loading into first? Battling the Atlantic wind sheer into Vágar, hand-flying the beach threshold at Skiathos, or claiming your free airport in Kansas? Let us know in the comments below!
