NEW Grassroots Airfield & Night Lighting Wave! | MSFS 2024 Marketplace

If you're looking to expand your flight routes and visual approaches, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace just updated with an intriguing mix of grassroots general aviation and nocturnal road lighting overhauls. Whether you're touching down on a quiet, tucked-away runway in a light taildragger or setting up a scenic night arrival across Europe, the Alps, and South Asia, this week's drop offers focused additions for both low-and-slow VFR flyers and evening navigators!

In this scenery breakdown, we inspect the latest airfield release, 3D modeling details, and regional highway illumination upgrades to help you decide what's claiming top priority on your virtual SSD:

✈️ GRASSROOTS & REGIONAL GENERAL AVIATION We start in Washington County, Rhode Island with Richmond Airport (08R)—a charming, privately owned, public-use airfield located just west of West Kingston. We explore its detailed 3D airport structures, custom ground polygons, detailed surface textures, custom windsock, and optimized multi-tier LODs built for smooth performance. Plus, we highlight the convenient Marketplace rental and trial option so you can test fly the field before committing to a permanent purchase.

🌃 NOCTURNAL HIGHWAY & CITY LIGHTING MATRICES (DREAMSCENERY SERIES) Looking to sharpen your after-dark visual navigation and highway corridors? We inspect DreamScenery's latest wave of nocturnal lighting packs divided across key global regions. In Western & Southern Europe, we look at new road illumination across Coventry, Granada, and Murcia. Heading into Alpine and Island gateways, we examine high-contrast valley and coastal approaches into Innsbruck and Funchal (Madeira), before concluding in South Asia with Islamabad. Crucially, we break down what these packages actually target—upgraded highway and road lighting matrices rather than full-scale urban building overhauls—so you know exactly what to expect before buying.

Which of these new additions are you loading into first? Touching down on the quiet runway at Richmond, or testing your nighttime visual approaches into Innsbruck and Madeira? Let us know in the comments below!
