Can this system save your life? | FSReborn Piper 600 emergency autoland (MSFS 2024)
What happens if the pilot becomes incapacitated mid-flight? Today, we are testing a groundbreaking safety feature for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: the Emergency Autoland system on the newly released FSReborn Piper M600 SLS.
As the first aircraft released with this incredible functionality for MSFS 2024, we put it to the test from over 10,000 feet. Once activated, the system takes complete control of the aircraft, locks out the primary cockpit displays to prevent accidental passenger inputs, searches for the nearest suitable airport, and automatically manages the flight path, airspeed, flaps, and landing gear.
Watch the full automation sequence as we divert into Rotterdam The Hague Airport (EHRD). We examine how the system communicates with the "surviving passenger," handles altitude management, and performs a close-shave stop on the runway rollout.
