Can an RTX 4090 handle the massive iniBuilds Airbus A380-800 in Virtual Reality? Today, we take the double-decker superjumbo into the skies above New York JFK using the Pimax Crystal Light headset in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We start on the tarmac with a detailed exterior drone inspection—checking out the wing flex, engine details, and the sheer scale of the landing gear. Next, we step inside for a full interior cabin tour across both decks, exploring economy, premium seating, and the upper-deck lounge bar before heading into the front office.

In the cockpit, we test glass-cockpit instrument clarity through the VR lenses, walk through the new EFB and OIS checklist system, power up the four engines, and depart runway 04L out of KJFK. Along the way, we talk through the honest performance reality, stutters, and the settings adjustments needed to keep VR smooth on high-end hardware.
