MSFS 2024 Italy City Update 16: All 9 cities tested in 35 PPD VR! (Pimax Crystal Light)

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 brings massive scenery upgrades with the Italy City Update, adding 9 high-detail photogrammetry cities. We take the Pimax Crystal Light into the cockpit to test true 35 PPD glass clarity across the Dolomites, Tuscany, and Sicily.

Fly low-level VFR across northern alpine valleys down to the Mediterranean coast as we evaluate Microsoft's latest TIN surface modeling, elevation meshes, and harbor detailing in high-resolution VR. From tight mountain valley departures out of Bolzano and the steep coastal terrain of Genoa to inspecting the 4-degree tilt on Pisa's Campo dei Miracoli, this comprehensive tour breaks down visual fidelity, photogrammetry streaming stability, and GPU load under high-density rendering.

We also cover an essential rolling cache optimization tip to eliminate photogrammetry reload stuttering during high-speed low passes and low-level helicopter flights. Whether you are planning your next Italian cross-country tour or benchmarking VR headsets for flight simulation, here is the definitive field test of all nine updated regions.
