Is it a lucky day or a cursed one? This Friday the 13th, we’re diving headfirst into the very first beta release of Sim Update 5 (SU5) for MSFS 2024. The timing is perfect—let’s see if this update is a treat or if the bugs are still haunting us.
🔍 The SU_05 “Hit List” We’ll be stress-testing the specific fixes and improvements labeled for this update in the bug tracker. Here is our primary flight plan for the stream:
- FPS & VRAM Performance: Investigating the ongoing VRAM bug and performance degradation (In Progress – SU_04 & SU_05).
- Navigation & POIs: Hunting for the missing city and town names.
- The “Broccoli” Problem: A deep dive into whether photogrammetry trees are still ruining the low-altitude experience.
- View-Change Stutters: Does switching cameras still cause a hitch? We’re putting it to the test.
- Cessna C408 SkyCourier: Checking the condition levers to see if they are finally bindable for throttle quadrant users.
